Meadow End Barn is a converted barn in Dorstone in the Golden Valley, close to the border town of Hay-on-Wye and 15 miles from Hereford. Sleeping 12 in six bedrooms, it is an ideal place for families or groups of friends to enjoy a rural retreat together.
The house is set in beautiful unspoilt countryside, close to the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. This is a great area for walking and canoeing on the River Wye, and the famous town of Hay-on-Wye, known for its literary festival, is close by and well worth a visit. It's also in walking distance of the village pub.
Meadow End has its own private courtyard and garden wtih BBQ with a stone table for outside dining and comfortable woven cushioned seating
Inside there are four bedrooms on the ground floor, two of which are ensuite. The main living area is upstairs, along with the well-equipped kitchen and two further bedrooms, one en suite and one with a separate shower and loo. The large sitting room is double height, with exposed beams, a wood burner and plenty of comfortable seating. There is also a dining table in the same room, great for groups and able to seat 12.
The rooms have been decorated by interior decorator Coralie Rogers, who runs her design business ROOM to create a luxurious but cosy atmosphere. Underfloor heating throughout keeps the house warm in winter.
